Master planners, Architects of Lower Village and Fisherman’s Wharf
Harper Downie Architects have been engaged to carry out the design of the Portonovi Master Plan. They are also the architects of Fisherman’s Wharf and Lower Village, both of which are characterized by Mediterranean and vernacular styles.
Their 90 strong practice handles an eclectic mix of residential, mixed-use and hotel projects around the globe, building on a strong reputation with developers and end-users alike.

Jean Michel Gathy has been engaged to bring his singular architectural and interior creativity to design the One&Only Portonovi Montenegro, Espace Chenot Health Wellness Spa and conference facility.
Jean Michel Gathy heads Dennistons, a consulting firm providing comprehensive design services for the hospitality industry. In April 2006, Jean Michel Gathy was inducted into the ‘Platinum Circle of Hospitality Design’ and honored as an industry figure whose career and achievements have contributed to the world of hotel design.
Architects of the Middle Village, Upper Village and Marina Apartments
CallisonRTKL, the global architecture and design firm, have been engaged to design the Middle Village, Upper Village and Marina Apartments, bringing an iconic and contemporary – yet timeless – style to the development. With more than 100 years of design experience, Callison and RTKL have created some of the world’s most memorable and successful commercial environments.
In 2015, the two practices came together as CallisonRTKL, expanding their sphere of influence and the depth and breadth of their resources. LMS International is responsible for the landscaping at Portonovi. Based on sound environmental principles, the landscaping features they have conceived, exude a natural sense of warmth and create a strong sense of place. In this way, the green spaces will play their part in creating a premier destination.
Led by landscape architect Mark Young alongside his partners Glenn Wagner and Sean Driscoll, LMS International has experience in all stages of the design process, from project inception and master planning through to site supervision. A majority of projects are in the leisure and tourism sector, and include hotels, golf and beach resorts and spas.
